I have always been a travel freak! My travel escapades have lead me to multiple other passions of mine. One of my early travels, introduced me to volunteering and have had life changing inter-cultural experiences. These experiences then showed me the way to multiple other social initiatives. Empowerment and Community development initiatives like The Pavement School or “Ride to Teach” are close to my heart.
Many of us try to weave-in an activity or two of adventure into our travel plans to stay in touch with our wild side. But I tend to make my complete journey one. There is no way to describe the sense of self-sufficiency and independence that comes from the simple act of getting on a bike and twisting the throttle; riding, for me is “freedom”. I am a part of a riders’ group named ‘Road Stallions’, and have been riding for over 20 years now. This year, me and my bike have had 10 major trips, both solo and in group.
My Royal Enfield, has been with me through the thick and thin of my riding life. I have named it “Teela” after He man’s warrior goddess who often assists him in his battles. My ride is incomplete without a parting kiss and a thank you pat to Teela. Every ride makes me feel more alive and it just leaves me longing for the next trip to come soon. Here's an article about me on Economic Times
